Cal. 8X60MM S. S# 45738. Bbl. 24" sporter with hooded dovetailed brass bead on base with serrated face; rear sight on island base with 2 folding leafs marked "200" and "300" along with fixed leaf marked "100". Mfg. 1947-1963 as new production rather than a converted military action. Top of front action bridge has FN logo plus it is drilled and tapped for a scope base (plug screws installed). Action of Commercial Model 98 style with matching numbered bolt and barrel. In the white bolt has swept back handle, claw extractor and Model 98 military style flag safety. Checkered European walnut stock has single stock reinforcement bolt, 1 1/4" sling swivels, straight comb. raised cheek piece, rounded forend, grip cap and "FN" marked serrated buttplate. Triggerguard assembly fitted with double set triggers and push button release on floorplate. Fitted with German Mayoscope 6X42 scope having German #4 reticle and rail mounting system. CONDITION: very good general appearance with light handling marks on stock plus a couple of faint oxidation spots on metal by front sight bead and around front scope base.
